RECRUITING WITH A PURPOSE
As an international recruitment agency, Me follow a well-defined process and method for recruitment to ensure selection of only the perfect candidate matching the job profile. Industry experts in each field are called for interviews if required and selections are jointly carried out with employer and HR experts @ Me.
Once an international company or overseas recruitment agency issue a demand letter or a job order, detailing job openings we start our process. This letter authorises us to act as their recruitment consultants in Sri Lanka. The overseas company also forward us a draft of employment agreement between the employer and employee.
Once necessary approvals taken form Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment, Me initiates the process. First and foremost, we check our computerized database to ensure that no stone is left unturned in our search for best candidates. Then we place advertisements in leading newspapers, Television News Belt spot advertisements, job fairs in various cities and provinces here in Sri Lanka – calling for applications from candidates. HR experts at @ Me are tasked with the responsibility of pre-screening candidates to come up with a shortlist of the most qualified applicants who will then be endorsed to the Clients for interview and approval.
Interviews will be carried out either by the employer or his authorized representatives @ Me office or at a convenient location named by the employer or overseas agency. Job testing will be done if necessary.
Sometimes employers or agencies abroad delegate responsibilities to Me. In that case the complete process will be handled by Me. In that case we send the CVs of the most qualified candidates direct to the Clients, enabling them to conduct interviews via Zoom / MS Teams / Google Meet.
Once assessment and selection completed Me will arrange medical check-ups for selected candidates at authorized centres. Necessary visas are applied from relevant Embassies after signing the agreements followed by ticketing and immigration processes. A basic orientation program will be arranged for chosen candidates prior to leave Sri Lanka with the collaboration of Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment, informing them about labour laws of the country of employment, work environment in the company and other relevant information.
What sets Me apart from other employment agencies is that we conduct our own set of rigorous trade tests over and above to give our clients a first-rate selection of the best candidates for their job requirements. The selected workers are required to submit the following documents.
- Passport
- Police Clearance
- Medical Certificate
- Degree/ Educational or Trade Certificates
- Character Certificates
Our HR Department will verify the authenticity of above-mentioned documents.
Before deployment, all contract workers are required to attend the official Pre-Departure Orientation Seminar facilitated by our organization or by the Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment. Our senior staff will also conduct other seminars to give workers an overview of the jobs they will undertake.
